El corzo (Capreolus capreolus) es una especie cinegética que levanta pasiones en nuestro país y para un cazador naturalista son muchos los encantos de este ungulado que, con el paso de los años, ha dado lugar a una gran cultura cinegética en torno al mismo, su caza, su gastronomía, su literatura atraen y mucho a los cazadores de nuestro país.

Por el enorme interés que despierta el menor de los cérvidos, el más pequeño de los euroasiáticos, ha animado a la dirección de Mutuasport a realizar su particular aportación al conocimiento y estudio de la especie mediante la incorporación a nuestra colección Biblioteca Cinegética de la obra “Cefenemiosis en el Corzo”.

La presentación del séptimo libro corrió a cargo del presidente de Mutuasport D. José María Mancheño, del presidente de la Federación Gallega de caza y coautor del libro Dr. Luis Eusebio Fidalgo y presidente de la Federación Gallega de caza y Dña. Ana Mª López-Beceiro, coautora del libro y Dra. Veterinaria Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. El evento tuvo lugar el sábado 1 de julio, a las 17.30 horas, en el municipio Ourensano de A Veiga.

Este libro abarca todo lo relacionado con la enfermedad del corzo que ha cambiado mucho en las últimas décadas. Es una obra de naturaleza científica que aborda un mal de especial relevancia, no sólo para los profesionales veterinarios y de la conservación de nuestro país, sino también para los aficionados a la caza del corzo. Y lo hace de una manera sencilla, ilustrativa y precisa que nos permitirá a todos conocer mucho más sobre esta afección y sobre la misma especie.

Una obra de fácil lectura, ilustrada con fotografías actuales de los propios autores, muy recomendable para los amantes y estudiosos de este herbívoro que actualiza los conocimientos sobre la enfermedad (cefenemiosis) y sus efectos en los corzos.

Aprovechando este evento, la Federación Gallega de caza organizó una serie de actividades lúdicas paralelas para acercar a los lugareños los beneficios de la actividad cinegética y de la Federación, instalando un simulador de tiro virtual donde los interesados ??pudieron practicar dicha actividad, aprender o mejorar su puntería, y un stand con el que la Federación pretendió acercar la caza deportiva y la caza como actividad rural sostenible y dinamizadora de la sociedad en general, además de repartir diversos obsequios a los visitantes.

Para este evento se invitó a todas las sociedades cinegéticas de la provincia, así como a las distintas autoridades y medios de comunicación.

Al final del acto se sirvió una degustación de caza con productos locales.
