I take care of the rabbit population in a horse paddock. They dig loads of holes making it dangerous for the horses that use it, so I look after the horses legs, and get a free meal at the same time. They tend to gather near one hedge at the edge of the paddock, so I set up a hide overlooking it about 45 yards away and waited. I shot these in about 2 hours at dawn. Details on the shots below -*1 There was little wind that morning so I didn't allow anything for it, just half a mil for elevation. I'm zero'd at 30 yards, so for this shot was aiming just at the bottom of the middle cross. If you look closely you'll see the pellet actually cuts the stem of a flower on the way to the rabbits head!*2So I know this one was young, and given the choice I'd leave it to fatten up for the pot, but I'm here to do a job and young rabbits dig too, so it had to go.
